If you’re anywhere near Abbot Kinney in Venice today – 1116 Abbot Kinney, to be precise – stop into the beautiful jewelry store LFrank, owned by Liseanne Frankfurt (who makes delicate jewelry inspired by nature). She’s hosting a trunk show and sale by Gregory Parkinson, whom she wears exclusively – and his fall collection (sold at Barneys) is full of great Boho items for next week – when the weather gets cooler! We promise the weather will be cool enough for his great jackets and sweaters inspired by South America by next week – that’s what weather.com says, and local news confirms. Fall should finally hit Southern California by Monday or Tuesday. Gregory’s clothes will be on sale at LFrank today, Friday September 25, from 11am to 7pm.
There is a LOT of sale shopping to be done this first December weekend – for presents, for yourself – and even if you don’t’ want to spend money, it will be fun just to pop in – cause there will be plenty of other people congregating there.
The Slane & Slane jewelry sample sale continues on on Saturday, from noon to 4pm. Fabulous necklaces, bracelets, rings, earrings – all fifty off. 172 North Las Palmas Avenue in Hancock Park. Killer present warning!
And also on Saturday, at 1116 Abbot Kinney Boulevard in Venice at LFrank Jewerly, the sample sale of jewelry by Liseanne Frankfurt, clothes by Gregory Parkinson, and leather goods by Kendall Conrad continues from 12pm to 6pm. If you can’t find something you like at this sale by three talented designers, well – you are immune to design.
Then, wake up on Sunday and hop on over to the A List Sample Sale, organized by Carolyn Bray, who’s got amazing amounts of barely worn clothes by Rick Owens, Lanvin, Dries – you name it. She’s got belts, scarves, t shirts, bags – it’s just ridiculous, really. Miss this only at your own risk. We know all your friends will be there. It’s from 11:15am to 4pm at 1151 N. Genesee in Hollywood, between Santa Monica Boulevard and Fountain. You will even find leather jackets you’ll crave. We kid you not.
