EDGE FEATURING ERIKA JAYNE

Pop singer Erika Jayne has it all, she is everything in a beautiful woman that I used to draw as a kid, and she’s my kind of girl. For my blogs March “green theme” I wanted her to represent the girl that has it all that leaves others green with envy.

In a recent photo shoot for Odyssey Magazine New York I glammed and photographed Erika Jayne with her dancers for the cover and directed a spicy video clip to go along. The look I wanted to create was a “Valley of the Dolls” look meets Sophia Loren, with a Malibu Barbie twist. To prep that instant airbrushing glow I started with a primer and highlighter, followed by liquid foundation. For my “envious eye look” it’s all about contour. A dramatic contoured eyelid and a smudged wing tip cat-eye can be achieved by drawing a thin line along the lash line and blending over with a wet powdered eye shadow in a dark chocolate or black. I contoured her face from the bridge of her nose to the outer edge of her eye by layering the dark shadow little by little. I curled and coated her lashes and for added drama I added a fake lash strip. Erika’s cheeks were kept natural and her beautiful beige lip was created by blending on a dab of liquid foundation as a base. Then lined her lips with nude lip liner and applied a beige lipstick. I topped it off with a shimmery gloss in the center of her lip for full sexy pout.
