Vera Farmiga, nominated for a Golden Globe and a SAG Award for her role in “Up in the Air” – one of the most talked about movies of the year, where she gets to have sex with George Clooney! – is still a bit of a fashion mystery. She’s slender and looks great in the film – but the actress recently had her first child, lives in upstate New York – and changes her hair all the time. Here she is at the National Board of Review event in NY this week, with frizzy Barbra Streisand style hair, a killer black Dolce & Gabbana ruched dress with sequins, and great pumps. We know it’s cold in NYC, but the heavy black stockings with the black dress and the high heels just doesn’t work – those should be nude stockings to show off her great legs. But she does seem to be getting closer to fashion perfection, and we look forward to seeing how she does at the Globes on Sunday. We hear NY stylist Amanda Ross is dressing her for awards season.
