Sunday nights are now a snooze, now that “Entourage” and “Mad Men” have wound up their seasons – but of course, football season is heating up. So is Red Carpet Season. The American Music Awards air the night of Sunday November 22, just in time to tease Thanksgiving break – and get you wound up for a dose of fashion and celebrity. Of course, what is an awards show without a major gifting suite? The AMA Luxury Lounge is next weekend, being held on both Friday and Saturday. Dick Clark Productions, which puts on the show, is inviting all the AMA nominees, presenters and celebrity attendees to the lounge – and while gifting isn’t on the same these days as it was back in the luxe-nineteen nineties (before the IRS started to tax celebrity gifts), a free necklace, pair of sneakers of pair of designer sunglasses is never a bad thing - nor is a great photo opp, which is one thing all stars really love. The 2009 Nominees and Performers include: Lady Gaga, Adam Lambert, Kings of Leon, Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, Jay-Z, Alicia Keys, Keith Urban, Eminem, The Black Eyes Peas, Daughtry, T.I., Carrie Underwood and more. The gifting suites will take place at the Nokia Theatre: Wachovia VIP Lounge, and having attended events like this before, it’s pretty amusing watching major celebrities posing with products to load up on freebies!
