We know that Kristen Stewart is a pretty basic girl, who really likes black jeans and a leather jacket more than black tie. But she’s been a good fashion sport all through the “New Moon” pr machine through Europe, wearing chic little dresses by Balenciaga with leather tops or skirts to tough them up. After all, her hair is growing out for the Joan Jett eighties mullet she had to get to play Joan Jett in an upcoming bio pic. We love the fashion contrast Kristen pulled off at the L.A. premiere in Westwood last night: at the after party, she wore a white shirt, black jeans and black jacket – looking almost the female version of Rob Pattinson in his skinny Gucci suit. But on the arrival red carpet, she wore a full on evening gown in a pale cream with smoky grey print that looks a little like a spider web, with its full skirt. So she managed to be glam in a gown – and still get in a goth detail like that web print! And she thought no one would notice! Meanwhile, the rocker in this photo of KS with new “New Moon” castmate Dakota Fanning is none other than Joan Jett herself!
