Couturier Elie Saab – no stranger to the red carpet – and who’s dressed actresses from Halle Berry to Beyonce’ to Mariska Hargitay - is developing a fragrance with BPI, Beaute Prestige International, the fragrance division of Shiseido. And good timing, too. Designers like Issey Miyake, Thierry Mugler and even Jean Paul Gaultier make much more money on their fragrances than they do on their clothing – which is obviously very highly priced and not for everyone. How many folks nearly need beaded couture gowns? But in any case, Saab – who has stores in Paris and his native Beirut – will now enter the fragrance category. We assume we’ll be seeing him soon on upcoming red carpets. And these were our favorite gowns from his spring 2010 collection shown in Paris last month. Stylists, take note.
