One of L.A.’s best and most original designers, Jasmin Shokrian – whose interesting and pared-down looks remind us of early Prada mixed with Commes des Garcons and Yohji – is launching a diffusion line called Draft No. 17. We’re very excited, because it means more affordable versions of an L.A. avant-gardist, and her interesting architectural shapes are SO in tune with what’s going on in European fashion right now. She’s L.A.’s version of Margiela or Givenchy. This Thursday, August 27th, she will take pre-orders for pieces from Draft No. 17, which is essentially various interpretations of the slipdress, at the store Creatures of Comfort at 7971 Melrose, from 6pm to 9pm.
