We’re so excited that one of our favorite labels, Morgane Le Fay – a beautiful collection of ethereal chiffon, light wool, silk and jersey dresses, skirts and blouses by Liliana Casabel – is opening a new store in Malibu. Liliana’s clothes, often worn by Sarah Jessica Parker, Helen Mirren, and currently by Stevie Nicks on tour with Fleetwood Mac – can’t be purchased in any retail outlet other than her own. She has two New York stores, one in Santa Monica at 13th and Montana – and there used to be one on Brighton Way in Beverly Hills, but it closed three years ago. The Malibu MLF will be feted with an opening event on Thursday June 4, from 7 to 9 pm, at 23410 Civic Center Drive , suite 5 D, with a photography exhibition by Deborah Anderson, a fashion photog – there will be a great installation on the walls. Last summer, Casabel had famed photographer Tierney Gueron shoot her collection, and had a Santa Monica event to show the work on the walls of the store –so her stores often act as galleries, in effect. The event is also coordinating with a wild horse sanctuary called Return to Freedom.
