
Forbes, the business magazine considered to be the top (with Fortune – particularly now that Portfolio has folded) is launching ForbesWoman in mid May, and it’s website is already active (http://www.forbes.com/forbeswoman). It is a new version of a female-oriented magazine they’d started last year called Forbes Life/Executive Women, that you see pictured here. The new ForbesWoman mag will be sold with Forbes in several issues a year, and it offers real advice for business women on beauty, dressing for work, wearing high heels at work – it’s all very real world, not full of fantasy fashion and beauty. Being that it’s Forbes, the mag snagged ads from Chanel watches, major fashion brands, fine jewelry and watches. We checked out the website, and liked what we read. It’s not often mags like Vogue, Elle, W or Bazaar ever address work life situations related to fashion and beauty for women – which is about half of their lives!! – Merle Ginsberg
