The Marc Jacobs spring 09 collection is one of his most lauded ever – and did very well when the L.A. boutique on Melrose Avenue had a trunk sale back in November. Those pieces will start shipping and arrive in February and March. But for now, resort has arrived – and that means, there’s a new collection of bags (mostly in black or gold or both), shoes (strappy gladiator styles but with skinnier, and LOWER, heels – that are highly wearable), dresses and tops. Sure, the clothes are cute – but it’s the shoes and bags we’re craving. If you want to make your fall and winter duds look less like dark duds right now – strappy open shoes and a gold bag could be the ticket. These may be from Marc Jacobs’ resort collection, but you can wear them all year round in Los Angeles.
