You know you’re in for a fashion fantasy if a movie is costume designed by Patricia Field. The bright-red-haired former New York retailer created and visualized all the looks for the tv show and movie “Sex and the City,” the movie “The Devil Wears Prada,” the series “Dirty Sexy Money,” and she’s the one who brought wearing tutu’s on the streets of the New York, a la Carrie Bradshaw, into vogue. Who would dare make a fashion movie without her? Which is why we’re SO looking forward to the movie of Sophie Kinsella’s book “Shopaholic,” coming out February 13th. It stars Isla Fisher, so cute in “Definitely, Maybe” – she is also the girlfriend of “Borat” star Sacha Baran Cohen, whom she recently had a baby with. It also stars Hugh Dancy, Joan Cusack, Kristin Scott Thomas, and was directed by P.J. Hogan, who directed “My Best Friend’s Wedding” and the Australian hit, “Muriel’s Wedding.”
Check out these looks below – Isla gets to wear pink full skirts, orange coats, leopard everything, and a ton of accessories. It’s this season’s “Sex and the City” - and a total fashion show for the screen. After all, she does do a LOT of shopping. Obviously, this movie is set before the big Crash of 2008.
