The brunettes have the edge in the Oscar race, as of today, December 4. The National Board of Review named its picks for best Picture and best Performances, and it was the first critics association to do that: they picked Anne Hathaway as Best Actress in “Rachel Getting Married,” and Penelope Cruz for Best Supporting Actress in “Vicky Christina Barceleno.” Since both brunette beauties are known for great style, great figures, and great faces, it could be a VERY good year for the glam. After all, Penelope’s pale pink strapless Versace couture gown with its mile-wide ruffled skirt is one of the best Oscar gowns of all time. And Anne’s sea blue-green Valentino as this summer’s Venice Film Festival was a great preview of what she might look like going to the Oscars.
