When Catherine Malandrino finally opens her Maison Malandrino store on LaCienega Boulevard near Melrose Place on October 20th – which also house a French country cafe – Mary J. Blige will be hosting right along with her. Seems the two stars go back – when Malandrino presented her “Hallelujah” collection at the historic Apollo Theater in Harlem in 2001, Mary J. sang in the show – and Catherine created a whole wardrobe for Ms. Mary J. Clearly the two have kept up their relationship, because getting Mary J. to host her L.A. boutique opening is quite a coup for Ms. Malandrino!!!
